Day 1 - Arrival
Upon arrival at Ben Gurion Airport, one of our representatives will be there to greet you, to guarantee an easy arrival. We will then arrange for a transfer to Jerusalem, where you will have dinner and spend the night. Remember to bring warm clothes for the chilly night in Jerusalem.
Day 2 - Jerusalem
Although this tour`s focus is not the historical and religious sites of Israel, we encourage our travelers to enjoy them too. Given that, you will spend your first day in Israel in its capital – Jerusalem.
Staring the days with a delicious breakfast in the hotel, we make sure that you will be ready for an adventurous day in the Old City of Jerusalem (do not worry too much - we keep in
mind that you made a long way here for a spa vacation). Right after breakfast, we will be warming up on the way to the picturesque Mt. of Olives to soak in the breathtaking view of the historic Old City of Jerusalem.
We will then explore the heart of the Old City, crossing the Jewish Quarter and the Cardo – a labyrinth of narrow passageways packed with tiny shops of local goods. As we continue our journey, we will come across the ``Broad Wall``, a remarkable fortification constructed by Hezekiah in preparation for Judah's rebellion.
The next stop on our itinerary will be the ``Israelite Tower``, a site and museum where evidence of ancient battles has been uncovered. We will then sweep through the Jewish quarter, making our way to the sacred Jewish ruins of the Holy Temple – the Western Wall. If conditions permit, we will proceed to the Temple Mount, a revered holy site for multiple world religions.
Next, we will make our way to Mt. Zion, where the reputed tomb of King David is located. There, we will also explore the ``Upper Room``, a significant component of the Mt. Zion complex – the place where it is believed that the Last Supper occurred.
Day 3 - Masada and the Dead Sea
We will say goodbye to Jerusalem and proceed across the Judea desert to the Dead Sea. The Dead Sea is a unique and beautiful salt lake. With its surface 400 meters below sea level, it is the lowest water point on earth. It is also known for its therapeutic and medicinal properties; thus, you will have the afternoon free to enjoy the unusual, salted water, the therapeutic mud baths, and healing minerals. Before relaxing time in the Dead Sea we will ascend to Masada – a dramatic and impressive ancient citadel located atop a mountain in the Judean Desert. It was the site of a heroic last stand by Jewish rebels against the Roman Empire, and one of the most visited spots in Israel.
Day 4 | Day 5 - The Dead Sea
In Bethlehem, we will visit the Church of Nativity and the Shepherds Fields. We'll drive to Jerusalem. We'll follow the Path of the Cross in Via Dolorosa to the Holy Sepulchre. In the afternoon we'll return to our Hotel in Jerusalem or Bethlehem.
Day 6 - Departure
We will provide you with a transfer to Ben Gurion airport for your return flight home. Leave feeling refreshed and renewed with Ayala Travel & Tour's Dead Sea Spa Tour, an unforgettable experience that combines the rich history of Jerusalem with luxurious spa treatments, guided by experienced tour leaders.
